TALKING POINTS:
The Talking Points bulletin is located at the head of our publication. It poises our readers for critical thought and analysis and leads readers into the in-depth topic examinations offered by their colleagues in the edition. Each edition poses one to two inquiries on topical political issues in Washington or the international arena and begs input from anyone willing to submit it.
Example Inquiry: Should the United States’ continue to take an official position on a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian Crisis?
Submissions are collected and a series of the most articulate and persuasive entries are printed. Submissions should not exceed 1000 characters.
LETTERS TO THE EDITOR:
In the LttE section, we invite your opinion and commentary on any topic relevant to either local or state [Midwestern] politics or the national and international political arenas. This is your opportunity to incite action, encourage deeper thought or provoke follow-up—so keep it pithy. Letters should not exceed 1000 characters.
Example of Provocatively Pithy: “Liberals are on the march and it’s time WE set the beat of the drum.” …
ESSAYS & ARTICLES:
Pax Americana Institute is a classical conservative think tank devoted to the research, analysis and publication of major political, economic, social, cultural, and philosophical issues. Thus, we would like to publish your essays and research on these topics as well! There is nothing more important to our future than the circulation of insightful and well developed ideas. The purpose of this section is to educate others on the topic; you needn’t take a position, but may do so if you like. Publication will not be discriminatory based on your stance. Your work will be published as submitted, so ensure its integrity and quality prior to submission.
Essays should be between 2000 and 4000 words.
